The first MU Rugby Night at the Madison Mallards baseball game was a great opportunity to display the joy of Youth Flag Rugby - and we did it well!
Our OWLS (grades 2-3) and HAWKS (grades 4-6) from Madison and Middleton showed their ball-handling and tagging skills on the ‘pitch’ in left field. Afterward we heard lots of positive comments about our display. Some of the Mallard players said they wish they could have played as kids too.
Afterward we all enjoyed the baseball game and ‘post-match’ camaraderie which is always part of the rugby experience.
Saturday mornings in July are a great time to see our young players in action. They will be playing at Goodman Park in Madison on July 10 and 24, and at Middleton Hills Neighborhood Park - South on July 17 and 31. Sessions are from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Come on out and bring your kids!
